What makes a good architectural design?

  • Simple, straightforward roads: easy movement around
  • Efficient utilisation of space: good use of horizontal and vertical spaces
  • Everything is easily accessible
  • Uni-direction flow: A good layout is one that makes the materials move only in the forward direction, towards stage of completion, without any backtracking.
  • Maximum visibility: A good layout is one that makes men, machines and materials ready observable at all times.
